Breaking the Silence: Why I Created a Course on Domestic Abuse Against Men

When we think of domestic abuse, most people picture a male perpetrator and a female victim. And while that scenario absolutely exists and deserves attention, there’s another side to the story that’s often ignored, dismissed, or outright denied:
Men can be victims too.
And they are, in heart-breaking numbers.
As someone who has lived through domestic abuse as a man, I know first-hand how invisible you can feel. I know the shame. The silence. The way the system seems to shut its doors. The way even your closest friends might look away or say, "Well, you must have done something."
But I also know this: it’s real, and it’s happening to far more men than you might think.
That’s why I created this course.

The Hidden Epidemic
In the UK alone, around 1 in 3 victims of domestic abuse are male. In the US, the CDC reports that 1 in 4 men experience some form of physical violence, sexual violence, or stalking from an intimate partner.
But those numbers only scratch the surface.
Because when men are abused, they often don’t report it.
They fear not being believed.
They worry they’ll lose access to their children.
They’re afraid of being seen as weak.
And in many cases, they are laughed at or dismissed when they do try to speak.
This kind of cultural silence leads to suffering behind closed doors — sometimes for years. Sometimes for decades.

Why Now? Why This Week?
This week, in the lead-up to Father’s Day, I wanted to shine a brighter light on an issue we still don’t talk about enough.
So I’ve released a heavily discounted coupon for the course, to help more people access it, learn from it, and share it.
Whether you’re a man who’s lived it, someone supporting a loved one, or just someone who cares about getting the full picture — this course is for you.

Let’s Break the Silence, Together
Abuse thrives in silence. And for too long, male victims have had no voice, no platform, and no place in the conversation.
Let’s change that.
