Everyone, I need your help please. And all male victims of abuse need your help.
I want to create change in the system, where male victims of domestic abuse are not only recognised, but are also treated fairly, and with the same level of understanding as any other victim.
I can’t do this alone. I write books on the topic, and I campaign for it. I want to start a nationwide, and hopefully then global movement, to start raising awareness with the people that need to know about this, such as police, courts, local councils, politicians, and anyone else in a position of power that needs to come on board.
Here is what I am asking.
Get one or two of my books about Male Domestic Abuse, which are:
Why didn’t you just leave them? And other ignorant things people say about domestic abuse
Such Reckless Hate: Real stories from male survivors of domestic abuse
Send them to your local police stations, council offices, local courts, local politicians, or anyone else that you feel it needs to reach.
Send them along with a copy of the letter below (you need to add in the details of the book title you chose).
I don’t have the resources to do this alone, so I am doing it for my local areas, but if we want to get this everywhere, we will need to do it together. I know it is asking a lot, but I know this cause deserves it.
If you prefer to support the cause with a donation so that I can post more books and drive more awareness, please contribute here: https://gofund.me/9d20c7e0
Thank you.

Dear [Recipient's Name],
Subject: Importance of Reading this book/these books on Male Abuse
I am writing to bring to your attention these important books that I have sent to your office, titled [Book Title] by Jared Whitaker. These books address a crucial yet often overlooked issue in our society: the abuse of men. Given your role, I believe that the insights and perspectives offered in this book are essential for enhancing your understanding and handling of such sensitive cases.
Abuse is a serious issue that affects individuals regardless of gender. While much of the public discourse and resources have rightly focused on female victims of abuse, it is imperative to recognize that men can be victims too. The social stigma and lack of awareness surrounding male abuse often leave these victims without the support and justice they need and deserve.
[Book Title] provides comprehensive research, case studies, and personal accounts that shed light on the various forms of abuse that men may experience, including physical, emotional, and psychological abuse. It also explores the unique challenges male victims face, such as societal expectations of masculinity, fear of disbelief or ridicule, and limited access to support services.
Here are a few reasons why these are a critical resource for your team:
1. Enhanced Understanding: The book offers a thorough examination of the dynamics of male abuse, helping to dispel myths and stereotypes. It provides a deeper understanding of the psychological and emotional impacts of abuse on men.
2. Improved Response: With greater awareness and knowledge, your team can improve their approach to handling cases involving male victims, ensuring they receive the same level of care, respect, and support as any other victim of abuse.
3. Informed Decision-Making: Judges and law enforcement officers equipped with this knowledge can make more informed decisions in their cases, leading to fairer and more just outcomes for all parties involved.
4. Supporting Change: By acknowledging and addressing male abuse, your office can contribute to a broader cultural shift that recognizes and supports all victims of abuse, ultimately fostering a more just and compassionate society.
I strongly encourage you and your colleagues to read [Book Title] and consider the valuable insights it provides. Doing so will undoubtedly enhance your ability to serve all members of our community effectively.
Thank you for your time and consideration. I am confident that this book will be a valuable addition to your resources and will help in fostering a more comprehensive understanding of abuse in all its forms.
This is part of a nationwide campaign to raise awareness around domestic abuse against men.
Sincerely,
[Your Name]
